GS1 logistics barcodes identify cartons, cases and pallets as they move through warehouses and distribution centers. They are based on your GS1 company prefix, so trading partners can look them up. Retailers and logistics providers often require them on incoming goods.

Use ITF-14 to mark a case with its GTIN-14, especially when printing straight onto cardboard. Use GS1-128 when you also need data such as batch, expiry date or weight. Use an SSCC to give each pallet or parcel its own serial number for shipping.
