Scan a QR Code

Need to check a QR code? You can scan it directly from your browser without installing another app.

QRCodeChamp gives you three ways to scan. Use your camera if the QR code is in front of you, upload an image if you already have the QR code saved, or paste an image URL if the QR code is available online.

Once the QR code is detected, the information stored in it will appear in the scan result section.

How to Scan a QR Code

Scanning a QR code is simple. Choose the option that matches where your QR code is located.

Use Your Camera

Select Camera and point your device at the QR code. Keep the code visible inside the camera view until it is detected.

This works well for QR codes on posters, packaging, screens, menus, printed documents, and other physical materials.

Upload an Image

Already have a QR code image on your device? Select Upload Image and choose the image you want to scan.

You can use a saved image, screenshot, or downloaded QR code.

Paste a Screenshot

Have a QR code copied to your clipboard? Select Paste Screenshot to scan it without saving the image first.

This is useful when you have copied a QR code from a website, message, document, or another app. Paste the screenshot directly into the scanner and let it detect the QR code.

Paste an Image URL

If the QR code is available as an image online, choose Paste URL and enter the image address. The scanner will use that image to look for the QR code.

Check the Result

After the QR code is successfully detected, you'll see its decoded content in the Scan Result section. You can then review the information contained in the code.

What Can You Scan With a QR Code Reader?

QR codes can contain much more than website links. The information inside a QR code depends on how it was created.

A QR code may contain:

  • A website or webpage URL
  • Plain text
  • Contact information
  • Wi-Fi details
  • An email address
  • A phone number
  • SMS information
  • Event details
  • A location
  • Social media information
  • Other supported QR code data location

The scanner reads the data stored in the code and shows the decoded result.

Why Use an Online QR Code Scanner?

Sometimes you only need to check a QR code once. Installing a separate app for that can be unnecessary.

An online QR scanner gives you a quick way to check a code from your browser. You can scan something in front of you with your camera or use a QR code image that you already have.

It's also useful when you're creating QR codes and want to check the result before sharing or printing them.
