What is a Han Xin Code barcode?
Han Xin Code is a 2D matrix symbology developed in China, published as a Chinese national standard and later as ISO/IEC 20830. It looks similar to a QR code but has finder patterns in all four corners.
Its main strength is encoding Chinese characters compactly, including the large GB 18030 character set, while also handling digits, Latin letters and binary data. Codes can hold several thousand characters in the largest sizes.
Use Han Xin when a Chinese partner or regulation asks for it. For international use, QR codes and Data Matrix are far more widely supported by scanners and phones.
What data can Han Xin Code hold?
Text including Chinese characters, digits and Latin letters, up to about 3,261 bytes. We show how much capacity you are using.
Recommended size
Leave a quiet zone of a few modules on every side. Larger amounts of data produce more modules, so print bigger as data grows and test with your scanner.
