What is a Aztec Runes barcode?
Aztec Runes are a special, very small form of Aztec Code defined in ISO/IEC 24778. Each rune is a fixed 11 by 11 module symbol that holds a single value from 0 to 255, encoded around the bullseye.
Runes are not for text or links. They are used as small markers that a machine vision system or scanner identifies, for example to tell apart positions, items or document types. If you need to store text or more than one number, use Aztec Compact or Aztec Code.
What data can Aztec Runes hold?
A whole number from 0 to 255.
Recommended size
The rune always has the same number of modules, so choose a module size that your camera or scanner can resolve at its reading distance, and keep a small clear margin around it.
